July 4th Parade & Picnic
Decorated bikes, wagons, golf carts, classic cars and neighbors on foot make this one of King’s Grant’s biggest traditions.
King’s Grant celebrates Independence Day with a neighborhood parade followed by a flag-raising ceremony, picnic and games at Witt Park. Bicycles, wagons, golf carts, strollers, trailers, cars and walkers all join the route, making the parade a community event for every generation.
The parade typically covers about 1.25 miles before returning to Witt Park. The picnic and games follow, including the always-popular water-balloon toss. Volunteers help with setup and traffic control, and local business sponsors help KGCL make the celebration possible.
