Join your King’s Grant neighbors for a rockin’ July 4th parade and picnic.

The parade around the lake starts and ends at Witt Park. Be ready to step off from our staging location in Blue Ridge Court at 11:00AM. (There will be road closures for the parade.) It will be followed immediately by our picnic in the park (hot dogs, pizza, watermelon, snacks, drinks, etc.). We ask that you bring a small something to share – cookies, cut fruit, cupcakes, etc. You may leave it in our food tent before the parade.

An 8’x10′ standup banner will be at park where you may take a group photo comemorating America’s 250th. Make a family keepsake!

As always, decorate your bicycles, strollers, wagons, golf carts, scooters, trailers, etc. There will be prizes. Decorated and classic vehicles are highly desired. Golf carts and other motorized vehicles will be lined up alongside the park (not in the Court) facing Watargate Ln.

The always-fun water balloon toss and watermelon seed spitting contests will proceed as soon as people get through the food tent.

Our local business sponsors who help us bring you this event are: Marcos Pizza, Beach Ford, Green Clean Car Wash, King’s Grant Handyman, and our neighborhood 7-Eleven.
