Zoning News
Our new Zoning Director, Steve Nimitz has been busy. Through Steve we’ve learned that King’s Grant House has new construction management on site. Steve has connected with the new representatives to ensure that our concerns about the King’s Grant Wall are conveyed to the new leadership. We requested that lighting be restored and we monitor construction for potential impact on the wall. The new construction managers expressed their willingness to continue working with KGCL.
Editorial: King’s Grant Community League was formed in 1962. That’s a milestone worth recognizing and celebrating! Join us for cake & refreshments at our first meeting of 2012-2013

Councilman Jim Wood speaks with Members at the October General Meeting

Light refreshments of cookies, pastry, and coffee were served. Councilman Jim Wood, Lynnhaven District was the invited guest. Councilman Wood addressed members briefly and took questions. Treasurer Lev Huntington presented the results of our self-audit and the current financials. Other reported items included zoning activities in King’s Grant, the status of Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws, and the status of lawn services for our public spaces. Minutes were recorded by Sally Huntington, Secretary. Minutes will be posted to the Meetings page. The next Meeting of General Members will be in January 2012.
The meeting will begin with a meet-and-greet of neighbors. Refreshments will be served. The agenda for the meeting includes a status update on the sidewalk planned for N. Lynnhaven Road and a bike lane under consideration for King’s Grant Road. Other zoning activities will be reported.
An update and timeline will be provided for the 2011-2012 budget.
